Florida Keys, AKA: The American Caribbean, no need to say anymore.

It all started when a former co-worker, turned close friend of mine, told me her and husband had purchased a vacation home in the Florida Keys. My first thought was, “Really? what are you thinking? I mean it is such a pain in the azz to get to from the NorthEast”. No all year round direct flights from NY to Key West, the keys only airport, only during seasonal months and the tickets are super expensive. Fly to Miami or Fort Lauderdale and then you have a 2-3 hour drive in a rental car before you reach your destination. You spend about 6 hours just traveling from NY.

Then one day I decided to go down and realized why the trip is worth the inconvenience. I fell in love immediately, the American Caribbean.
