Day 1
- Departed from New London,CT aboard the Block Island Express for a 90 minute ride. A short walk from the dock to the inn.
- Lunch: No better way to exhale the stress away then outdoor beachfront dining at The Surf in the heart of block island.
- Did I hear someone say Tiki Bar? Mosey on down to Ballard’s for a yummy frozen cocktail or two.
- Dinner: Keeping the theme of outdoor dining on our first day at the Poor People’s Pub.
Day 2
- Time to get exploring the island via a moped built for 2. Island Moped and Bike. No unpaved or dirt roads allowed.
- A casual ride with no planned route to the Southeast Lighthouse and Mohegan Bluffs. At the overlook, we were perfectly content staring down the steep 141 steps to the beach.
- Oh look the “The Painted Rock”, a 5 minute looky loo and then back on the scooter for a scenic ride to the southwest point of the island.
- Lunch: Our stomachs were on empty. Lucky for us, The Oar, was in sight. Fresh seafood, cocktails and harbor views. A stunning picturesque setting. Many selfies at this location.
- After the buzz from our cocktails were off, we headed off to the North lighthouse and Settlers Rock to soak up a little bit of history.
- Last stop, Fred Benson Town Beach for much needed R&R on the soft white sand and in the gentle in the serene blue waters.
- Dinner: We closed out our 2 day retreat by putting on our dressy casuals for a special night at Winfield’s. Highly recommend.
